Are you one of those wonderfully special humans who attack the supermarket shelves with enthusiasm, only to find that the ‘Free-From’ aisle is always a little disappointing, over-priced and lacking in aesthetic beauty?
Well, fear not, my baked-good loving friends!
There is very little that can’t be baked (without a little time, effort and experimentation) to the requirements of the most important person in the world – YOU! Obviously, if you’re allergic to ginger, a Gingerbread House may not be the first thing on your wish list to ask me about, but a Shortbread House can be just as tasty! Want a gluten-free wedding cake? Vegan Red Velvet? Nut-free Brownies (well, honestly, why waste the space in them with nuts when you can add more chocolate)?
All you have to do is ask! And, just in case the prices of the ‘Free-From’ range fills you with as much dread as my friend, JG, take a deep breath, pour yourself a G&T (or have a G&T Truffle) and read on.
I will never charge extra for gluten-free cakes. I’ve never understood the reasons behind grocers, supermarkets and bakers charging extra for this. Nut-free baking just takes a little extra care and time, and, again, there will be no extra charge for this either. The only time I may have to alter the cost is for Vegan-suitable baking. I want to offer a premature apology for this. Some vegan-alternative ingredients are more expensive and this will be reflected in the cost, but, where possible, I will try and ensure that the costs vary as little as possible from the guide prices.
Obviously, I can’t cover every requirement here, and I’m absolutely certain there are lots that I haven’t covered. If you would like to discuss your requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll always try my best…
